Matt Dillon praises Turkey's efforts for Syrian refugees at Antalya Film Festival


U.S. actor Matt Dillon praised Turkey's efforts for Syrian refugees at the award ceremony of the 54th International Antalya Film Festival on Friday.

"I am a member of the International Organization for Migration, and I want to say something. I admire and respect Turkey's efforts for Syrian refugees. Turkey hosts the highest number of refugees in the world," he said, adding that Turkey is the host of the highest number of refugees in the world.

Dillon received the Honorary Award from Turkey's Culture and Tourism Minister Numan Kurtulmuş and Antalya Governor Munir Karaloğlu.

The famous actor said that while he had been in Turkey before, it was his first trip to Antalya, and he found the city marvelous.

The Antalya Film Festival hosted 1,600 movie makers from around the world in a week long event.
