Le Redoutable (Redoubtable)

Directed by Michel Hazanavicius, "Le Redoutable" stars famous actor Louis Garrel in the role of 1967's great director Jean-Luc Godard. Featuring Stacy Martin, Berenice Bejo, Gregory Gadebois and Micha Lescot, the biographic drama film focuses on French directed Jean-Luc Godard's story. During the making of one of his films, he falls in love with 17-year-old actress Anne Wiazemsky and later marries her.

Directed by Osman Taşçı, "Poyraz Karayel: Küresel Sermaye," which was adapted from the namesake TV series, and written by Ethem Özışık, features Musa Uzunlar, Celil Nalçakan, Ali İl, Cem Cücenoğlu and Emel Çölgeçen. The action film tells of the dangerous and funny adventures of a godfather who tries to save his daughter's life.

Papatya (Daisy)

Written and directed by Mehmet Güldoğan, "Papatya" features Emre Canpolat, Mazlum Çimen, Aysun Güven, Ömer Duran and Kenan Acar. The drama and comedy tells of the adventures of Umut, who has grown up fatherless and spend his days blandly, and his best friend Nuri.

The Party

Written and directed by Sally Potter, "The Party" features Kristin Scott Thomas, Timothy Spall, Cillian Murphy, Patricia Clarkson and Emily Mortimer. The comedy and drama film tells of the story of Janet, who hosts a party to celebrate her new promotion, but once the guests arrive it becomes clear that not everything is going down as smoothly as red wine.

The Pirates of Somalia

A U.S., South Africa and Somalia co-production, "The Pirates of Somalia" tells the story of a young journalist named Jay Bahadur, who in 2008 forms a half-baked plan to embed himself among the pirates of Somalia. He ultimately succeeds in providing the first close-up look into what these men are, how they live and the forces that drive them. Written and directed by Bryan Buckley, the biographic drama features Evan Peters, Barkhad Abdi, Melanie Griffith, Al Pacino and Aidan Whytock.

Santa & Cie

"Santa & Cie," the second French production of the week, was directed by Alain Chabat. Produced by Adrian Politowski and Gilles Waterkeyn, the film features Golshifteh Farahani, Pio Marmai, Audrey Tautou and Jean-Pierre Bacri. The film tells the adventure of Santa Claus needing to find a cure to save Christmas when all the elves get sick.
