Cinema collaboration between Sudan and Turkey on the way

In recent negotiations between the Sudanese Ministry of Culture and Hartum Yunus Emre Institute (YEE) it was decided that Sudan and Turkey will collaborate in cinema.

Muvaffak Abdurrahman Muhammed Yusuf, the secretary-general to the Sudanese National Council to Conserve Culture and Art and the deputy minister of culture, visited the YEE's Turkish Cultural Center in Hartum.

In the meeting between Yusuf and YEE Hartum Cultural Center Director Feyzullah Bahçi, the collaboration between the two countries was decided. The official agreement is expected to be signed soon.

‘We want to bring the experience of Turkey to Sudan'

Speaking to Anadolu Agency (AA), Bahçi talked about the details of the meeting with the Sudanese authorities.

"We want to bring the experience of Turkey in cinema to Sudan. We have had a fertile meeting with Sudanese culture deputy minister. Our first aim is sure to bring the Turkish cinema experience to Sudan. We should transfer our experience. YEE will contribute to those who are active in the cinema sector in Sudan," he said.

Saying that their event calendar for this year is ready, Bahçi added, "We will have practical supporting workshops through the year. We have prepared our event program and we will collaborate with the Sudanese Cultural Ministry in some of these projects."
