Terrorist attacks against Turkey are continuing. Certainly, the latest Ankara massacre that was aimed at civilians is a new phase and continuation of two previous bombings that took place in the city on Oct. 10, 2015 and Feb. 17, 2016. We cannot suggest that these military attacks, which overtly target Turkish territory from outside, come as a result of Turkey's internal political and economic dynamics as they emerge as the implications of a new war on sharing markets and energy resources. So, as President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan iterates on all occasions, Turkey has right to self-defense in all grounds and forms. Let us reiterate that this is clearly a new war on sharing that is driven by economic motives like all other wars of this kind in history. Certainly, the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC), Turkey's commercialization of Mosul-Kirkuk oil and the re-sharing of the Levantine energy resources have a part in this terrorist attack. The second most important reason for this battle after the energy issue is that Turkey monitors new market routes that start from Eastern Europe and reach Africa in the south and the Middle East and the Caucasus in the east. Furthermore, Turkey exports capital and goods to these markets. Therefore, there is not a clear distinction between paramilitary terrorist organizations the PKK and DAESH. In this regard, Erdoğan's argument that there is not a Kurdish question in Turkey but an assault on the country is a formulation that highlights this economic and political reality.

Another objective of terror and a chain of blind terrorist attacks in Ankara over the past five months is to immobilize political decision makers, who work for national interests, by creating trouble. Terror aims to exhaust and paralyze not only the society, but also bureaucratic mechanisms. As terror trivializes security policies in all fields apart from human life, it becomes the only topical issue on a country's agenda and pushes all other issues to the background. Health, energy, food and environmental safety very suddenly become trivial topics that can be ignored. In the midst of all this, you make a decision that submits the future of your national economy to "some" for a century. The strange part is that those who make this decision might think that they make it for the good of the country as terror cripples decision-making and discussion mechanisms.

Soon after the Ankara terrorist attack, a news report in The Independent said the attack "fuels fears of dangerous instability in Turkey" and put forward an estimation that concerns about terrorism will further increase - which means an estimation that terrorist attacks will also increase. This is an expectation or there are efforts to create such an expectation. You must have seen systematic criticisms of economic and political stability, one of the areas where the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) have significant successes. These criticisms were posted by self-styled "opponents" on social media platforms immediately after the bombing. Indeed, the PKK's ditch terrorism aimed to ensure a political breakaway between eastern and western provinces in order to claim that stability has disappeared in the country. However, the failure in this attempt moved the series of terrorist acts, which started in Ankara, to an earlier time. Those who failed to stage a coup in Turkey like the one in Egypt strive to doom Turkey to disintegration like Yugoslavia.

Today, we clearly see that what gave rise to the PKK is not Turkey's socio-economic and political dynamics and it no longer resembles the Irish Republican Army (IRA) in the U.K., Basque nationalist Euskadi Ta Askatasuna (ETA) in France and Spain, or the African National Congress (ANC) in South Africa. Just like DAESH, it is a paramilitary organization that the regional and global war industry pushes to the battlefield as an apparatus of a war on sharing. From this point of view, the PKK's assault on Turkey is not a state of political violence and terror arising from Turkey's domestic affairs.

This is a new and multi-faceted war strategy that brings Turkey under fire. This being the case, for Turkey, there is no difference between DAESH and PKK terrorism. Turkey knows the states that support the PKK and their objectives, just as it knows the supporters and motives behind DAESH attacks. Those who support these two terrorist organizations and their justifier, the Gülenist Terror Organization (FETÖ), must know that Turkey is not an Egypt or Yugoslavia. They will see that terror and murderers will be defeated.

Turkey expects due humanitarian sensitivities from the international community and political support from its allies against terrorist attacks that target Turkish people and territory. However, needless to say, Turkey is disappointed in this regard. Let us note that Turkey's stability means Europe and the whole world's stability. Those who disturb Turkey's stability must know that they jeopardize their own stability and security.
