The Gaziantep attack, beyond any doubt, is the continuation of the July 15 coup attempt. Turkey must acknowledge that it is in the midst of a new and unnamed war on sharing that is more far-reaching than the two previous world wars and will have surprising results. Unlike the previous world wars, it is not taking place between nation-states over shared markets and natural resources, but between the old hegemony and the whole world. This is also a crisis of the hegemony the U.S. founded after World War II. A peaceful solution for this global crisis is only possible with the stability and democratic strengthening of countries like Turkey.Famous Russian economist Nikolai Kondratiev explains the crises of capitalism as a wave ranging from 40 to 60 years and attributes the beginning and ending of these waves to the emergence of new sectors and accompanying political developments. The chart below shows how right Kondratiev is in his formula.The bubbles in the S&P 500 index and the following falls are quite striking. In addition, Kondratiev's periods are explained with winter, fall, spring and summer metaphors. Accordingly, fall ended and winter began in the early 2000s. Today, the crisis of hegemony has turned into a new state of war that is undertaken by regional terrorist organizations like the PKK and DAESH. This war does not have a particular battlefield as these terrorist organizations are dominated by the global hegemony, which makes them global as well. The decline of the sectors that dominated the 20th century, as well as their loss of influence in global politics and their replacement with IT-intensive sectors that do not rely on wars, will expand into the first quarter of the 21st century. It is inevitable that the East and West will be equal and Asia will come to the fore in this process. This can be called an "Asian era."This is an era where the East will rise and keep up with the West. The dominant Western strata and structures in Eastern countries will regress, and the lower classes in these countries will have a say in their own affairs. This situation is leading to a rapid down-top mobilization in Eastern societies. We are witnessing the emergence of a new middle class starting with the developing Asia. This is the same middle class that resisted the July 15 coup attempt and lay in front of the tanks that night. Those who masterminded the coup and commit terrorism in order to destabilize countries like Turkey failed to see the reality of the 21st century.This is not a theoretical finding, but a realistic one that is consistently proven in every political and economic incident in Turkey. The Nov. 1 general elections and the current dynamism of the Turkish economy are the latest examples of this. This situation surprises some whose knowledge will remain permanently falsified from now on. As Andre Gunder Frank suggests in "ReOrienting the 19th Century: Global Economy in the Continuing Asian Age," we are rapidly progressing into the Asian era.Today, terrorist attacks, coup attempts and failed coups, one example of which was seen in Egypt in 2013, in countries like Turkey are indeed a war that the 20th century hegemony has waged on humanity while it was falling apart. As in all wars opened against humanity, the initiators of this current war will be defeated by humanity.
