Assad and Russians caught red handed with DAESH oil...

To cover the current oil trade between the Assad regime and DAESH, Russia has ordered its media to make it seem as though Turkey is the one trading with the terror organization

Russian President Vladimir Putin should be extremely careful as he slings insults and claims against Turkey. He has to get his facts straight and should not be imprisoned in his passion to hurt Turkey.

Putin is in no mood to listen to reason or take up issues with a cool mind but still it is high time someone told him he is moving out of control and appears ridiculous as he makes claims and threats.

He went as far as to claim Turkey is buying oil from DAESH mobs and is thus helping the terrorist cause.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan responded by categorically denying Putin's allegations and said he will quit his post as head of state if there is any proof that this was the case.

Then the Americans let the cat out of the bag when their Treasury Department announced that they had proof that DAESH was selling its oil to a middleman who was then transferring the oil to Syrian President Bashar Assad's regime. So in the end it became apparent that the Assad regime was financing the deadly DAESH terrorist machine that is active not only in Iraq and Syria but all over the world... This is the regime Putin is trying to keep alive at all costs and thus losing valuable friends like Turkey.

But the Russians will never learn as so many conflicting claims come out from Moscow and so many different officials. One claim was that 16,260 tanker trucks have carried oil from DAESH to Turkey which is absolute nonsense.

The Russians are well aware that Turkey's borders are under close scrutiny from so many quarters and that there is no room to hide. So they should at least know it is impossible to hide a hundred lories let alone 16,200 vehicles. The Americans are closely watching the border area and have said there is no such movement. Besides theoretically these vehicles should cross into Turkey either from the customs gates controlled by Syrian Kurds and at the border gate in Haseki which is controlled by the Assad forces. That is impossible.

So even when Russian authorities decide to launch a smear campaign and spread lies, they should at least try to make their lies and slanders plausible. Or else they only become ridiculous.

The Americans have denied Russian claims, the Iraqi Kurds denied Russian claims and Turkey has shown to the world it cannot buy and transport oil even if it wanted to from DAESH.

Now it is up to the Russians to explain to the world public opinion how their allies in Damascus have purchased oil from DAESH and why. The more the Russians make such accusations and come up with baseless claims the more they are ridiculed. Those who think Russia is a serious state and still a world power are starting to have second thoughts as Putin and his colleagues act with their emotions and not their minds.

President Erdoğan is keeping his cool and shows all signs that he does not want to deepen the crisis with the Russians. However, Putin is still not on the same wavelength and the real source of concern should be if the Turkish president runs out of patience and orders retaliations to the highly intransigent behavior of Moscow.
