What about Turkey's deep concerns, General Dunford?

Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff General Joseph Dunford says Ankara's proposed purchase of the S-400 advanced air defense system from Russia would be "a concern" for the U.S.

Speaking at the Aspen Security Forum in Colorado General Dunford said: "There was a media report that was incorrect. They have not bought the S-400 air defense system from Russia. That would be a concern, were they to do that, but they have not done that."

The way he said it is really very arrogant and provocative. Turkey has the right to purchase any weapons that will serve its vital interests and does not have to get permission from anyone, especially from those who have been turning a deaf ear to Ankara's rightful complaints that their actions jeopardize Turkey's security

Dunford is the boss of the Pentagon. That is the Pentagon that has been arming and training Syrian militants affiliated with Turkey's secessionist terrorist organization, the PKK. The U.S. makes no secret of this and actually says they need those militants to fight against Daesh. So they give those people heavy weapons and ammunition for the fight, but then the Syrian militants turn those arms against ordinary Syrian Arabs and Turkmens to grab land in northern Syria across from the Turkish border to establish terrorist enclaves and eventually create a mini terrorist state. They also turn those guns over to the PKK, which uses them in attacks inside Turkey.

When things start getting out of hand and the Syrian militants start causing trouble under the banner of Kurdish nationalism, the Americans invent a way out calling them the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and thus drop the Kurdish connotation – so clever but so needless. An American general admitted this, saying it was done overnight in view of Turkish objections.

So while Dunford is talking about a potential concern, we are really suffering the real threat and are genuinely concerned with what he and his Pentagon are doing. Is this how friends and allies treat each other, Gen. Dunford?

But that is not all. The U.S. in fact is giving shelter to Fetullah Gülen, the mastermind of the July 15, 2016 attempted coup. Gülen continues to live in a Pennsylvania mansion surrounded by his supporters and issuing threats and is still active stirring up trouble inside Turkey under American protection. His men and establishments are also active in the U.S. under American protection. U.S. taxpayers continue to pay hundreds of millions of dollars that go to Gülen charter schools, thus financing his terrorist operations against Turkey.

Shouldn't all this be a source of deep concern for the Turkish administration and the Turkish people, Gen. Dunford?

So we are confronted with genuine threats and justified concerns while Dunford is concerned with something that might happen.

Well, we have news for the general. The deal for the purchase of the S-400 advanced missile systems is about to be completed and Turkey will be able to acquire them on good terms very soon. Yet these will be used against our enemies and will not be a threat to our friends and allies. We do not cooperate with terrorists. That is something the Pentagon should start learning.
