Scandal of US weapons dropped to Daesh

We have been writing about this for months and will never get tired of repeating it.The counterterror fight cannot be maintained by abetting terrorism. This mindset will only enable the terrorists. The bloodshed in European capitals cannot be stopped with this approach. Additionally, innocent citizens will have to pay the price for the implementation of these wrongful policies. This is precisely what is happening right now. Currently, Turkey is the only country fighting against all terrorist groups, yet it is also burdened by baseless claims in a smear campaign made in obnoxious attempts to suggest that Turkey abets Daesh. The European Union and its member countries verbally condemn terrorism while simultaneously providing weapons to the outlawed PKK's Syrian offshoot the Democratic Union Party (PYD) under the guise that the PYD fights against Daesh. As a matter of fact, if the weapons used by the PYD are being purchased with the euros paid in taxes by EU citizens, we have a horrendous scandal on our hands, because the PYD is as dangerous as Daesh.Numerous people who are of Turkish origin as well as Turkish citizens live and work in EU countries. Some of them have made major investments in these countries. All are taxpayers in their respective countries. Therefore they should know that the weapons that are placed in the hands of the PYD are being purchased with their tax money. The PYD is fighting against Turkey and sharing the weapons it receives from the EU with the PKK, while the PKK organizes terrorist attacks in Turkey orchestrated with those weapons. In other words, the taxes paid by EU residents of Turkish origin are being used to murder their fellow Turkish citizens in Turkey. Is this the EU's approach to terrorism, who claims to be the stronghold of human rights?Same situation in the USLast week, on Sept. 20, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced a scandalous fact while criticizing American support for the PYD: "Three days ago, the U.S. airdropped two planes of weapons in Kobani. I told U.S. Vice President Joe Biden yesterday about the weapons and asked if he had been informed about it. He responded by saying that he was unaware of it. I promptly told him that I was made aware of it. The same thing happened before; they dropped three planes in Kobani. Half of the weapons ended up in the hands of Daesh while the PYD obtained the other half. We have such a grave picture here. Consequently, we are obliged to overcome the problem in the region by collaborating with the U.S. in the healthiest way possible."The U.S. has not denied the incident unveiled by Erdoğan, so far. And they cannot refute it either. Turkey had footage showing the MV-22 Tilt Rotor-type jets belonging to the U.S., which confirms that the U.S. delivered three planes of weapons to the PYD near Kobani in northern Syria. These records were shared from Syria-based addresses on social media accounts. Those who claim to be fighting against terrorism are seen handing weapons while passing them to Daesh along with the PYD.This is not only a scandal but an affront to humanity. Regardless of their concerns and motivations, it is agonizing that a NATO ally would hand weapons to terrorist organizations that murder and tyrannize people across Europe and Turkey. However, the U.S. is not the only NATO member incapable of displaying a determined stance in the face of the terrorist groups. Here is another scandal from Belgium:The PYD organized a so-called "European Congress" in Brussels last week. At the congress, PYD flags and posters of the PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan were hung. The posters once again refuted claims suggesting that the PKK and PYD are different organizations. It was demonstrated that the PKK and the PYD essentially are one terrorist organization together. The heads of the PYD, Salih Muslim and Asya Abdullah, also attended the congress. Belgium's police, whose primary duty is to fight against terrorism, provided security at the congress, posing another major contradiction. Belgian police officers, who have been grappling with Daesh militants by risking their lives, had to protect the spokespersons of the PYD, which cooperates with Daesh in Syria.I am sure Belgian citizens would be disturbed to know of the PYD's exploitation of Brussels and their overt use of it as a platform for spreading terrorism propaganda under the pretext of organizing a congress. As a matter of fact, if EU citizens had known the details of their own officials' affinity with some terrorist groups, the governments that pursue wrongful policies like these would not have won a single election.Certain groups are striving to defame Erdoğan in the eyes of the EU public since he is saying the facts. However, if the EU public is accurately informed about what the Turkish president says, they might respond in the same way and expect a determination similar to Turkey's stance from the EU in the context of the counter-terror fight. There is a nice proverb used by Turks which states: "The man who tells the truth is driven out of nine villages. Long live the tenth village." As the proverb goes, we will keep writing the truth unrelentingly. Of course, the EU public will wake up one day.
