President Erdoğan, accompanied by PM Yıldırım and the ministers of the new Cabinet, visited the village of Tanışık to pay condolences for the 20 Kurdish villagers killed by the PKK terrorist organization

A truck-loaded with 15 tons of explosives caused the death of about 20 Kurdish villagers in the southeastern village of Tanışık. The brunt of the explosion was even heard in Diyarbakır, which is 20 kilometers away from the village. The initial news was that 12 villagers were missing from the village. Not even the smallest body part of the 12 villagers was found. The scale of the explosion was so big that thousands of body parts of the villagers were scattered on the road around the village. The PKK terrorist organization had a shocking excuse for such an atrocity. And none of the pro-PKK Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) politicians visited the village to pay their condolences to the grieving families of the dead, since the villagers tried to prevent the transport of the explosives by the PKK terrorists. And no foreign press reports highlighted the tragic atrocity either. However, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, accompanied by newly elected Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım and ministers from the new Cabinet as well as parliamentarians from the region, visited the village to pay condolences. In live TV broadcasts, the children of the village were seen in joyous mood because of the presence of the leading figures of the country. While the "elderly" were paying religious rituals inside the "condolence houses," the "little ones" were enjoying the toys distributed by the team of the president. In two separate speeches in Diyarbakır, President Erdoğan emphasized that there are no discrimination policies by the state, referring to the brotherhood between different groups of Turkish society. However, he, in a clear message, rejected any idea of diplomatic progress with the PKK."First of all, weapons should be buried. And that is not enough. The whereabouts of these weapons should be given to the state," said President Erdoğan."With a great effort, we all together will turn this process around, which is recent and difficult, into a fruitful framework," continued the president.Prime Minister Yıldırım's Diyarbakır speech was also a determined statement completely condemning PKK terrorism and the PKK-linked legal policy of the HDP.Finally, a strong condemnation was also noted down following the speech by President Erdoğan where he referred to the photo of U.S. soldiers in Syria with uniforms from the PKK-affiliate People's Protection Units (PYD).The visit by President Erdoğan ended with strong messages concerning Turkey's policy on the southeast and its struggle against terrorism.First lady's diplomacy in AfricaFirst Lady Emine Erdoğan organized a gathering on May 25, in which she got together with many first ladies from African states. In the Hamamönü district of Ankara, a pavilion was inaugurated by Mrs. Erdoğan, where signs of Africa will meet with Turkish culture.Figures from Turkey's humanitarian diplomacy, from Kızılay to the Organization of Turks Abroad and the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TİKA) were also present at the ceremony. The event, which followed the Humanitarian Summit held in Istanbul under the leadership of President Erdoğan, was a noteworthy chain of Turkey's mark on humanitarian issues. You should visit the African House situated in Ankara's Hamamönü district.
