Turkey summons ambassadors of UN Security Council permanent members following Ankara attack


Turkey has summoned ambassadors of permanent United Nations Security Council members for briefing following deadly Ankara bombing carried out by PKK-affiliated YPG, which killed 28 people and injured over 60.According to reports, ambassadors from the permanent five (P5), plus Germany have been called to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and separate meetings will be held with each ambassador from the United States, Russia, France, China and Britain. Ambassadors from the Netherlands, Germany and delegations from the European Union and the UN were also invited to the briefing.Earlier Thursday, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu said that Turkey would inform each member of the P5 by providing evidence and information regarding the terrorist attack which took place in the capital on Wednesday.Prime Minister Davutoğlu and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan have said that the PKK-affiliated YPG/PYD was directly responsible for the attack, as it was carried out by a YPG suicide bomber from Syria in collaboration with the PKK terrorist organization.The PYD/YPG is largely accepted as the Syrian wing of the PKK, which is recognized as a terror organization by the U.S., the EU and NATO. The group recently opened an office in Moscow adorned with a poster of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan.
