Foreign Ministry organizes 22nd International Junior Diplomats Training Program


The 22nd International Junior Diplomats Training Program started with an opening talk by Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Naci Koru on April 10 with numerous foreign ambassadorial representatives in attendance. The program aims to gather diplomats from 64 countries in develop their intellectual and professional capabilities.

The program is being held from April 9 to April 15 with events that will take place in Ankara, Çorum, Nevşehir and Istanbul. As part of the program, junior diplomats will attend seminars and conferences on Turkish foreign policy, Turkish history and culture, bilateral relations with different regions and Turkey's economy and government. In the second part of the program, the junior diplomats will visit historical and tourist sites to learn more about Turkish culture, tradition and art.The International Junior Diplomats Training Program is annually organized by the Diplomacy Academy of the Foreign Ministry for gathering junior diplomats together from countries around the world. The program offers important seminars and conferences for international junior diplomats to teach them about various aspects of Turkey in terms of its foreign policy and diplomacy, civilization, history, art, music and literature. Participants attend lectures on current political issues affecting the world as well as economic and international issues concerning environmental diplomacy and conflict resolution.

The lectures are given by academics from leading Turkish universities and experts from various organizations. Turkish diplomats also give talks to participants about Turkey's bilateral relations and foreign policy. During the program, representatives of participating countries also present their respective countries' annual reports. The program aims to improve interaction between participating countries and build a good network with attendees.
