Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım spoke with U.S. Vice President Joe Biden on Wednesday and expressed condolences for the violent terrorist attack in Orlando nightclub, which claimed the lives of 50 people.

Speaking in a phone conversation, Yıldırım told Biden that Turkey shares the pain of the American people, and noted that terrorism has no religion, nation or sect. In this respect, he continued by saying that Turkey is determined to fight all terrorist organizations including Daesh, PKK/PYD/YPG.

The leaders pledged to stand together in the fight against terrorism and underscored the importance of international cooperation and solidarity to fight.

Earlier on the same day, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called US President Barack Obama and offered condolences for the incident.

On Sunday, a gunman, Omar Mateen, a New York-born Florida resident and U.S. citizen who was the son of Afghan immigrants, killed 50 people and injured 53 more at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida.
