Turkey has been campaigning since July 15 to inform other countries about the activities of the Gülenist Terror Group (FETÖ).

Turkey has made more than 6,000 official contacts through its missions and consulates abroad since the coup attempt, according to figures published Monday on the Foreign Ministry's website.

Out of a total of 6,382 contacts, 36 official meetings were held at the presidential level, 42 at the prime ministerial level and 234 at the ministerial level.

At the parliamentary level, 696 interviews were conducted. Other high-level meetings totaled 5,374.

At least 240 people were killed in the failed putsch, which the government has said was organized by the followers of U.S.-based retired imam Fethullah Gülen.

Gülen is also accused of leading a long-running campaign to overthrow the Turkish government through infiltration of state institutions, particularly the military, police and judiciary, forming the "parallel structure."
