President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan discussed the regional developments such as the fight against terror, including the Daesh and PKK terrorist groups, with visiting Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) President Masoud Barzani in Istanbul.

The closed meeting between the two leaders at the Presidential Pavilion at Yıldız Palace lasted for about an hour and ended without a press conference however the sources said Erdoğan and Barzani focused mostly on regional developments.

Peshmerga's possible participation in Raqqa operation, the terrorist group's presence Sinjar and its new military headquarters in Irbil were the topics that were expected to be discussed.
