Erdoğan scheduled to meet with President Trump

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is scheduled to hold a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at 5:00 p.m. New York time on Thursday.

Erdoğan had said that he pays special importance to the meeting with his U.S. counterpart where both leaders will discuss several disagreements, including U.S. support to the PKK terrorist organization's Syria affiliate, the Democratic Union Party (PYD) and its armed wing, the People's Protection Units (YPG), as part of the fight against Daesh, the KRG's proposed referendum on Sept. 25 and the extradition of Gülenist Terror Group (FETÖ) leader Fetullah Gülen, who has been living in the U.S. since 1999.

Completing his official visit in the U.S., where he attended the U.N. General Assembly, Erdoğan is expected to return to Turkey later Thursday.
