‘Turkish jobs increase by 6 mln since 2008, as the EU loses 5 mln’


"Since the 2008 crisis, 28 countries of the EU have lost a total of 5 million jobs, while Turkey increased its employment by 6 million and made history" Turkey's Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci said on Sunday in the Economy Summit held in the western city of Aydın.Zeybekci stated that Turkey's GDP per capita increased from 3,492 USD in 2002 to 10,782 USD in 2013, while Turkish economy has grown by an average 5.8 percent in the last 19 quarters.Turkish economy should grow by 5 percent in order to reach its 2023 goals, said Minister Zeybekci.
