Turkey: Employee turnover in private sector highest in 4 years


Employee turnover in Turkey has reached its peak in four years due to record levels of recruitment and cease of employment in 2014, according to a survey conducted by Turkey People Management Association (PERYÖN).A total of 82 companies joined the survey, PERYÖN said. Out of every 100 employees, 32 were newly recruited in 2014, according to the survey, whereas 21 percent left their jobs, the maximum levels of turnover in the last four years. The people who resigned from their jobs amounted to 11 percent. PERYÖN's President Sevilay Pezek Yangın evaluated the survey results and told Anadolu Agency reporters, the Turkish companies were having a more difficult time day by day to find skilled labor. Yangın also said, the employees with high potential did not flinch quitting their jobs should they see no appreciation from their employers. She stated, employees who know foreign languages, who got a degree or working experience abroad, also find jobs abroad.
