There have been no troubles meeting demands for exports following the attempted coup on July 15, said Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) Chairman Mehmet Büyükekşi: "Some companies demanded the cancelation of orders, but we assured them that there will be no troubles and production will continue."

Büyükekşi stated the assembly sent a letter to the editors, both abroad and in Turkey, of all foreign newspapers and magazines, to explain that the Turkish economy is robust and that the TİM continues to side with the government following the attempted coup by the Gülenist Terror Organization (FETÖ).

The TİM posted messages in three languages on Twitter and reached out to 850,000 people. The message in English, German and French was "Those who invest in Turkey profit." The chairman said exports have seen no demand-related troubles, adding that they guarantee companies that there will be no troubles in deliveries, as production will continue.

Büyükekşi reiterated their belief in democracy and support for the elected government and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. He added that the national resistance to the attempted coup showed that Turkish people would not allow such terrorist acts, continuing, "On July 18, we met with 12 nongovernmental organizations and held a press conference titled ‘From Darkness to Light.' The next day, we issued an anti-coup statement with 520 nongovernmental organizations in Parliament."

Büyükekşi guaranteed that customers purchasing goods from Turkey will have no problems with exports, and will swiftly receive goods. The TİM sent letters to the heads of all nongovernmental organizations and prepared letters in English for 65,000 exporters to send to their customers after the attempted coup.
