Wall Street closes higher with rise in oil prices


Wall Street closed higher Monday with a rise in crude oil prices.

The Dow added 89 points to finish at 20,894, logging a three-day winning streak -- its longest since Feb. 27.

The S&P 500 added 12 points to end trading at 2,394 and the Nasdaq increased 49 points to close at 6,133.

At the final bell, American benchmark West Texas Intermediate was trading at $51.04 a barrel with a 0.7 percent increase.

International benchmark Brent crude was at $53.76 per barrel -- a 0.3 percent gain.
