The Borsa Istanbul Stock Exchange's BIST 100 index has reached an all-time high at 104,283 points, and the total value of companies traded on the stock exchange has reached TL 810 billion ($226 billion).

The BIST 100 index, which started rising last December and has been on an upward trend for seven consecutive months, continued to rise in July as well, bringing its highest record level to 104,283 points today.

According to the data compiled from the BIST 100, the total market value of companies traded on the stock exchange has reached about TL 810 billion as of today, from nearly TL 616 billion on Dec. 30, 2016. In other words, the total market value of these companies soared TL 194 billion in this period. The market value of the 20 most valuable companies traded on the Borsa Istanbul has increased to TL 488.6 billion from TL 372.5 billion at the end of 2016, marking a rise of nearly TL 116.1 billion.

Garanti Bank ranked first among the most valuable companies at TL 43.8 billion, and was followed by Koç Holding at TL 41.7 billion and Akbank at TL 41.4 billion.
