Civil Servant Exams To Be Ended

TURKEY — The Ministry of Labor and Social Security plans to abolish nationwide exams for civil servant positions. A decentralized system will be implemented, and each state and government agency will hold its own exam when in need of employees. The Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS) was first held in 2002 for employment of civil servants, and since then it has been held once every two years separately for high school graduates and university graduates. In 2010, a scandal was revealed when 350 participants who answered all of the questions correctly were found to have cheated.
