The number of school-aged Syrian children in Turkey has increased to 756,808, out of which 325,000 children have been schooled so far, Turkish Minister for National Education Nabi Avcı said Wednesday.

In remarks made at the Turkish parliament, Avcı said that 75,000 Syrian children have been enrolled in public schools, while 250,000 others have been attending temporary educational centers.

Avci said that some legal challenges hindering free access to education for school-aged Syrian children had been removed, adding that Syrian children could now enroll to all kinds of educational institutions under Turkey's Ministry of National Education.

"In addition, Syrian refugees from all ages may benefit from courses, including Turkish courses provided by public training centers. The number of Syrians attending such courses is now more than 130,000," he said.

"Almost 375 temporary education centers have been formed in Turkish provinces, including Adana, Adıyaman, Batman, Diyarbakır Gaziantep, Hatay, Istanbul, Kahramanmaraş, Kayseri, Kilis, Konya, Malatya, Mardin, Osmaniye, Siirt, Şırnak, Şanlıurfa," he added.
