Students from the Istanbul-based Kartal Anatolian Imam-Hatip School scored perfect results in six different subjects in the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) tests, placing themselves among the best students in the world.

The Kartal Anatolian Imam-Hatip School, known for its successful participation in various domestic and international competitions, has the largest number of the IGCSE students in Turkey and has a success rate of 98.75 percent across all subjects.

Student Sudenur Kayış became the best in native language subject among more than 100,000 students from 145 countries and won the "Top in the World" award given by the Cambridge University as part of the The Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards.

The school's principal Mitat Tekçam expressed his joy over another student receiving the "Top in the World" award.

"Our students study both national and international curricula. This program's students study six days a week and participate in summer programs. Thankfully, due to [studying] national and international curricula, our students are at an excellent level [of education]," Tekçam said.

IGCSE coordinator Vedat Genç said the school targets 100 percent success rate in 2018.
