Turkish rector lets loose, joins snowball fight with students

As heavy snowfall hit most of central Turkey, many people, especially children, have indulged themselves in fun winter activities, including sledding, making snowmen and having snowball fights.

A 44-year-old Turkish university rector also chose to partake in some winter fun, and made sure those around him got a piece of the joy of snow, too.

Anadolu University rector Şafak Ertan Çomaklı joined his students Tuesday night for a snowball fight on the campus. The deputy rector and other professors also let loose, playing in the snow with their students.

The rector, who is from eastern Erzurum province, said he misses snow in Eskişehir where his university is based.

"When it snows suddenly, you have to enjoy it. I am from Erzurum. Snow in Erzurum stays for 3-4 months, but here it immediately melts away. These are the final days of the exams. [The studentstarget="_blank"'>
