Jointly held by the Daily Sabah Centre for Policy Studies (DSCfPS) and Carnegie Moscow Center, Turkey's June 7 elections and "New Turkey" vision will be discussed in a series of conference in Moscow on June 3. Following last week's conference held in London to discuss the five years of Syrian civil war and its effects, organized jointly by the DSCfPS and the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR), DSCfPS's series of conferences will continue in Moscow. Etyen Mahçupyan, former senior adviser to Turkey's Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, will take part in the conference. Turkish journalist Gürkan Zengin, Al Jazeera Türk News Director Birol Akgün, director of the Institute of Strategic Thinking (SDE) and Daily Sabah columnist Sadık Ünay will also take part in the conference. Serdar Karagöz, editor-in-chief of Daily Sabah, Dmitri Trenin, director of Carnegie Moscow Center, and Pınar Kandemir, director-general of the Daily Sabah Centre for Policy Studies will be speaking during the opening and closing sessions of the conference. Meryem İlayda Atlas, editor-in-chief of Lacivert Magazine, Talha Köse, assistant professor at Istanbul Şehir University, and Kılıç Buğra Kanat, Daily Sabah columnist and associate professor at Penn State University will be among the conference participants. Many other Turkish and Russian academics will be speaking during the sessions titled "Turkey's Political Landscape: Ready for Reformatting?," "Political Economy of Turkish Democracy: Challenges and Responses" and " 'New Turkey's Geopolitical Setting," to discuss Ankara and Moscow's views on the Turkish elections and the "New Turkey" vision.
