Energy Minister Albayrak to open 9 call centers

With regards to the Energy and Natural Resources Ministry's previous request for completion of call center investments by October, relevant projects have reached the final stage. The number of employees working in call centers will increase from about 1,000 to 3,400.

The sector is currently anxious about additional costs to be caused by call centers, as 5,000 technical personnel will be employed to respond to failures more swiftly in accordance with the "service quality report card" sent to distribution companies by the Energy Ministry, Habertürk reports.

Nine call centers, which will be opened in various provinces, will serve customers 24/7, and customers will be able to convey their problems to officers in just 20 seconds.

Opening ceremonies for the call centers, planned for early October, will be completed in two months. All call centers will be in service by the end of the year. Energy Minister Albayrak said he wants to attend the ceremonies in person.
