Aksa Energy to construct natural gas power plant in Indonesia


Aksa Energy Production Inc. has signed a pre-agreement to construct a natural gas power plant in Indonesia.

In a notice delivered to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) on Wednesday, Aksa Energy said that the project will be built in Indonesia's Aceh province.

Aksa Energy signed the pre-agreement, which was finalized after in two years of preparation, with Enersis Construction Energy Industry and Trade Inc. and the regional government of Aceh.

Further developments would be shared with the press, after the steps identified in the pre-agreement have been completed, the notice read.

Established in 1997, Aksa Energy is a subsidiary of Kazancı Holding – the largest independent power producer listed on Turkey's stock exchange.

The company previously bolstered its presence in Africa, signing various contracts with power plants in Ghana, Madagascar and Mali.
