Ministry educates students, teachers on climate change


Students and teachers from 18 provinces in Turkey are being offered classes on climate change at summer camps in Ankara's Hacettepe University as part of the "Climate Change Awareness Raising Project," carried out by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization with the contributions of Yıldırım Beyazıt University.

The project organizes classes as well as seminars and panel sessions on climate change. During the summer camps, which welcome a total of 120 middle school students from Eskişehir, Denizli, Manisa, Antalya, Mersin, Niğde, Kastamonu, Çorum, Rize, Erzurum, Erzincan, Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, Şanlıurfa, Sivas, Kayseri and Van, students are educated on climate change and its importance for life on Earth.Moreover, they are informed on the things they can do to protect the planet and become "climate ambassadors" to leave the planet better for future generations.
