Work on visa-free EU travel for Turks almost complete


Turkey's parliament will soon finish working on a visa-free agreement with the EU, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu said Friday.In a TV address, Davutoğlu said the preparatory work would be "completed in the upcoming days".Last week he met German Chancellor Angela Merkel to agree lifting visa requirements for Turkish nationals visiting the Schengen area by October in return for Turkey's help in stemming the flow of refugees to Europe.In Friday's speech, the prime minister said the talks with Germany represented the "vision we brought and developed".Turning to the economy, he said a million jobs were created last year.
