Tsipras vows to wear gifted Italian tie when a 'viable solution' for Europe is found

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras was surprised in Rome where he went to introduce the "Greek Formula" to make the country's debts manageable.

Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi presented a necktie to his Greek counterpart who is known as a tie-eschewing politician.

Renzi, who is the same age as Tsipras, 40, said, "We hope that when the moment comes, and Greece emerges from the crisis, Alexis will be able to use this Italian tie."

Saying that he loved the gift, Tsipras stated, "I promise I will wear it when we find a viable solution for Europe."

Furthermore, Tsipras presented Renzi a CD, consisting of half Greek-half Italian traditional songs sung in southern Italian.
