The Canadian government closed its embassy in Brussels due to increasing threat of terrorism on late Sunday.The Canadian government said on its official Twitter account that its embassy in Brussels will be closed "until further notice" and will only be providing emergency consular services. The Government of Canada advised its citizens in Belgium to "exercise a high degree of caution due to the current elevated threat of terrorism" on its website. Brussels has been under the highest terrorism alert since Saturday.Multiple suspects connected to the November 13 attacks in Paris, where 130 people were killed and 352 wounded, had ties to Brussels.
