The remains of Samy Amimour, one of the perpetrators of the November 13 terrorist attacks in Paris, were buried in a private ceremony last week outside Paris, according to a media report Sunday. It is the first burial reported for any of the eight men confirmed to have participated in the attacks. The 28-year-old was one of three men who stormed the Bataclan concert hall during the blood-drenched night and killed 90 people there. The entire night saw 130 die in attacks across Paris. The Journal du Dimanche reported that only a few people attended the burial. There are about 800 to 900 gravesites for Muslims at the La Courneuve cemetery. An unidentified source told the newspaper that the number of graves there should make it hard for Amimour's to be found.Animour was born in nearby Drancy, where he grew up. He travelled to Syria in 2014 after becoming a terrorist and returned to France to participate in the attacks. The remains of the seven other attackers are still being held by a Paris coroner. Two other suspects remain at large and are the subject of international manhunts: Salah Abdeslam, 26, the brother of one of the suicide attackers; and Mohamed Abrini, 30.Daesh claimed responsibility for the attacks. Since then, Paris has worked to bulk up the international response against Daesh-controlled sites in Syria and Iraq, earning support from Britain and Germany, among others.
