Denmark could soon establish passport controls at its border with Germany in order to stem the flow of migrants into the country, Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen said Friday."We do not want to see refugees and migrants on our highways again. We want to secure peace and order," he said in his New Year's address."This may create a situation in which we need to introduce border controls with Germany, if we decide that this is best for Denmark," Rasmussen said.Controls have already been tightened between Denmark and Sweden, with identification checks carried out on travellers coming by bus, train or ferry.For the first time since the 1950s, starting Monday drivers crossing the Orsund bridge linking the two Nordic countries will have to show their passports.
