Rail service disrupted in Germany due to snow and ice
Hundreds of people were stuck on a train in northern Germany on Sunday night as snow and icy lines disrupted rail service. Passengers spent the night on the train and had to wait in the cold before they received assistance, the German news site Tagesschau reported yesterday. Bremen was the last destination for many of those traveling. According to Tagesschau, several roads in northern Germany were partly coated with a layer of ice, which led to hundreds of accidents. The police department in Oldenburg reported 183 accidents yesterday.
