A report by the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry urges international community to stay alert to Russia's occupation of Ukraine's sovereign territory, and points out numerous violations of human rights by Russia since it launched a "hybrid war" against Ukraine.Russia occupied the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol in February 2014, and since then, the Crimean peninsula has been plagued with violence, claimed the report. Dozens of international humanitarian and rights organizations, including the United Nations and the Council of Europe's Commissioner for Human Rights, have confirmed numerous evidence of deterioration in civil, political, social and religious rights after Russia's unlawful annexation of Crimea, and condemned Kremlin's illegal actions.Yet Russia has denied that it violated the norms of the international law, the report said. These condemnable actions, according to reports include persecution, kidnapping, threats, disappearances, extrajudicial killings, ill-treatment and bans against citizens of Ukraine who reside in Crimea. The report emphasized that the international community should increase the existing political pressure on Russia "so that it restores its adherence to international binding treaties in the sphere of human rights."
