Russian foreign ministry official shot dead in his flat in Moscow


A man, suspected to be the head of a Russian foreign ministry department, was shot dead in Moscow on Tuesday morning.

The unnamed official's body was found at his flat with a gunshot to his head according to the Russian REN TV.

A gun and two shells were found under the kitchen sink, according to the source.

The Kremlin has not yet commented on the report.

The incident happened only hours after Russia's Ambassador to Ankara, Andred Karlov was killed during an exhibition in Turkey's capital Ankara.
