British daily Sun published footage of UK Prime Minister Theresa May being hurried into safety during the London terror attack on Wednesday.

In the video, May is seen to be walking in the wrong direction, but security personnel warn her to get into the car.

An attacker drove a rental car into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge before crashing the vehicle outside parliament and getting out to launch a knife attack. Five people, including the attacker died, while at least 50 other people were injured.

Two were still in a critical condition and one was being treated for life-threatening injuries, police said on Friday.

The police identified the attacker as Khalid Masood, who had used a number of aliases during his life and was originally named Adrian Russell Ajao.

The 52-year-old attacker was born in southeastern England and had most recently been living in the central city of Birmingham, where several properties have been searched by police.

On Thursday, the Daesh terror group claimed responsibility for Wednesday's attack. Police believe Masood acted alone, but London's top counterterror officer Mark Rowley said police are investigating whether he "acted totally alone inspired by terrorist propaganda, or if others have encouraged, supported or directed him."
