French police officer kills 3, commits suicide in Paris

A French police officer has killed three and critically injured one person before committing suicide in the Sarcelles suburb of Paris late Saturday.

The officer took his pistol and opened fire on his parents-in-law, killing his father-in-law and critically injuring his mother-in-law, and also shot two neighbors who tried to stop him, according to French newspaper Le Parisien.

When first aid teams arrived, two of the neighbors were dead, and the mother-in-law was reportedly rushed to the hospital.

The French officer committed suicide in the garden of the house where the shooting happened.

The shooting was allegedly linked to domestic conflict.
