German high-speed train derails in Switzerland's Basel

A high-speed train from Germany derailed in the Swiss city of Basel late Sunday, a spokesman for German rail company Deutsche Bahn said.

The engine car and one carriage derailed as the train arrived at Basel's central SBB station, he said.

The ICE 373 was on its way from Berlin's Ostbahnhof station to the Swiss resort town of Interlaken.

No further details were immediately available.
