Salon İKSV ready to present various events


Salon's fifth season will kick off on Oct. 10. Salon once more offers art lovers a program that is filled with contemporary music, jazz, theatre, interviews and more. On Oct. 10, Future Islands, one of the hottest bands of the year with their performances at Primavera, Coachella and Roskilde, will kick off Salon's new season. This season, Salon will host Suuns, Marissa Nadler, The Boxer Rebellion, Emilie Simon, Olafur Arnalds' new electronic music project Kiasmos, East India Youth, Tom Adams, Owen Pallett and more. Moreover, jazz band Red Snapper, Kairos Quartet, Arild Andersen Trio, Submotion Orchestra, GoGo Penguin and Colin Stetson will be among the guests of Salon. The performance hall will continue to host important artists of Turkish music this season as well. Gevende, Gaye Su Akyol, Bubituzak, Dilek Türkan, Birsen Tezer, Taksim Trio ve Incesaz, Ah!Kosmos, Sapan, Kaan Bulak ile and The Away Days will take the stage at Salon. Theatre Hall nights will also continue on Monday nights.Apart from Ceren Ercan's "Istenmeyen" (The Unwanted) and Ufuk Tan Altunkaya's "Kalem" (Pencil), two Turkey-Poland co-productions will be staged as a part of the celebrations of the 600th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Poland and Turkey. The premier of Polish director Radek Rychick's play "AALST," which is also include three Turkish actors, will take place as a part of Polish-Turkish Avant-Art Festival.
