Artists Eylül Ceren Ersöz, Güneş Bulut Yılmaz, Kaan Bağcı and Melike Kılıç, who each use different techniques and different approaches to art, will present the language of line at Mixer Arts until April 26. One of the most important inventions of the history of civilization is line, the basic cut stone of written communication and artistic expression. Line gains rhythm with the movements on the surface, and it releases different statements and creates different perceptions. Line, which we can see as movement on a platform, is shaped by the relationship between the person who draws it and the surface. Moreover, its boundaries are determined through this relationship; in this way, it evolves and turns into a form. While Kılıç tells poetic stories through the places and human figures that she draws, Ersöz's portraits drawn on wooden surfaces testify to historical periods when political turmoil occurred. Bağcı's animal figures that are combined with geometrical lines transform into different metaphors by changing on the surface. Lastly, Yılmaz gives the viewer a different perspective on our perception of portraits.
