As part of the Alliance of International Doctors (AID) and the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation's project Gülen Yüzler (Smiling Faces), the exhibition "Yıldız Tozu" (Stardust) displays the artwork of fatherless children and their mothers. In 10 different art fields, 1,000 works of art were made by 71 fatherless children and 35 mothers. Remaining on display until June 17, the exhibition was opened with a ceremony overseen by Murat Yılmaz, deputy president of the IHH's Orphan Department, and AID President Mevlüt Yurtseven. The Smiling Faces project was initiated in 2013 to alleviate the psychological effects on children without fathers and their mothers. The project intends to define vulnerable people's requirements, most of whom migrated to Istanbul, and design rational projects to acculturate them to Turkish society. Post-assessments are done following every activity, such as psychological counseling, training and artistic events.
