Art raises awareness about environment and resources
The "Energy for Life 50x50" group exhibition will be displayed at ARMAGGAN Art & Design Gallery, which was founded to support young artists and designers, until tomorrow. The "Energy for Life 50x50" group exhibition aims to draw attention to and raise awareness about mankind's destruction of the environment and pollution of water and air sources. The exhibition, which also refers to the theme of Expo Milano 2015 that is "Feeding The Planet/Energy for Life," asks the artists to examine their understanding of food by contextualizing it within the scopes of nature, sustainability and ecology. The exhibition wishes to highlight how that in order to grow more enlightened, productive and dynamic mankind has embraced petroleum, mines, hydroelectricity, nuclear, and other environmentally-unfriendly energy sources. It also highlights that many wars have been fought over these coveted natural yet finite resources, and it seems that people will continue to fight over these resources in the near future. When: ThursdayWhere: ARMAGGAN Art & Design Gallery
