Singer, songwriter, and actress Marianne Faithfull will be performing at Istanbul's CRR concert hall on Nov. 20 as part of her world tour to celebrate the 50th year of her career. The 68-year-old singer will be playing songs from her latest album, "Give My Love to London." The iconic singer was spotted for the first time at the age of 16 by Rolling Stones manager Andrew Loog Oldham, which led to a music career that has spanned five decades. "It features an impressive rollcall of studio collaborators including Adrian Utley (Portishead), Brian Eno, Ed Harcourt and Warren Ellis and Jim Sclavunos (The Bad Seeds)," her official website says. American photographer focuses on Istanbul American photographer Gail Albert Halaban's first solo show in Istanbul will be held between Nov. 20 and Dec. 12. The 45-year-old artist's celebrated "Out My Window" series, which has already featured in New York and Paris, will this time focus on Istanbul. Her images were taken in Istanbul between Sep. 1 and Sept. 7. For her Istanbul project, Halaban brings together neighbors, who despite living beside each other, had never met. "Halaban, who focuses on the main paradox of life in the metropolis, pictures the loneliness of city people by bringing up their alienation and disconnected relations of people who live or work together in physically very close places," exhibition organizers said. 'Back to the Future' documentaryA documentary about the classic time-travel "Back to the Future" trilogy will premiere at Istanbul Modern's cinema hall on Nov. 21. The 2015 documentary "Back in Time" is "a look at the very real impact the 'Back to the Future' movies have had on our culture," the film's makers said. "Funnily enough, the film's genesis is a testament to how large that impact truly is," it added. The documentary was directed by Jason Aaron and has Steven Spielberg as well Michael J. Fox and Lea Thompson. 'Sinatra and Friends' in Istanbul Istanbul's Zorlu Performance Center will host "Sinatra and Friends," marking the 100th birthday of legendary singer Frank Sinatra over three nights from Nov. 20 to Nov. 22. The show is a tribute to the legendry Rat Pack, which included Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Dean Martin, Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop. Sinatra, Davis and Martin will be played by Tom Ward, George Daniel Long and Mark Adams respectively. "The timeless songs of this era, which ruled Las Vegas and Hollywood during the 1950s and 1960s, have remained popular with audiences of all ages for decades and continue to thrill and entertain to this day," organizers said.
