Award-winning trumpeter to perform in Istanbul


Young Grammy Award-winner and talented virtuoso of classical trumpet, the Tine Thing Helseth and Staatskapelle Dresden Soloist, will perform at İş Sanat. The artist transforms the rhythms of the baroque, classic and romantic periods into energetic sound. Dresden has performed at some of the most important concert halls in Germany and was granted to ECHO Klassik Award in 2010. The 26-year-old Norwegian trumpeter became the first classical musician to be nominated for the Norwegian Grammy Awards in 2007 where he won the best newcomer award. The musician, who is inspired by classical musicians such as Bach, Mozart and Haydn, as well as popular figures such as Astor Piazzolla and the Beach Boys, is also the founder of the band tenThing, which is comprised of female musicians.
