Pianist, composer, arranger, lecturer and musicologist Janusz Szprot has a rich musical background. Since 1971, the year he kicked off his professional musical career, Szprot has collaborated with many Polish and international jazz musicians. In 1983, he brought talented Polish and Turkish jazz musicians together to found the Poland-Turkey Jazz Ensemble. The band has performed in Ankara and at the 21st International Istanbul Music Festival. Szprot is an expert jazz pianist, and has released more than 15 studio albums throughout his career. Szprot was previously worked as an academic at Ankara Bilkent University's Faculty of Music and Stage Arts as well as Erzurum University.When: FridayWhere: Nardis Jazz Club
