Roma Philharmonic to perform in Istanbul


Percussion master Hamdi Akatay, who has performed with some of the most prominent Turkish musicians and been part of the international music industry for the last 30 years, established a creative project with the Roma musicians of İzmir's Tepecik district. The project blends the compositions of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with Roma melodies, and will be performed by the Tepecik Philharmonic Orchestra. The orchestra, bringing the dynamism of young musicians, coupled with the virtuoso of Akatay wants to show the world that they can perform Mozart as well as Haydar Tatlıyay.When: Jan. 7Where: Babylon Bomonti
