Painting and photography exhibited together

The photographs by Gürcan Aydoğan and the paintings of artist Müge Peri were brought together for an exhibition at ART 212 titled "Atemporal." The exhibition will grace the gallery walls in Nişantaşı between March 16 and March 26. Following an accomplished academic career and 25 years of a professional career in economics, Aydoğan has dedicated the last 10 years of his life to the art of photography. In his works, the photographer mirrors the emotions that are not imprisoned by the place but freely exists in nature and the atmosphere. Aydoğan's works, which seem realistic at first, enable the viewer to be free from their chains and help them to break down the boundaries of reality. His abstract photographs are based on real roots, and captures the moment when light and color embrace each other. Painter Müge Peri, on the other hand, worked in the computer and software sector for 30 years following her academic studies. She has recently undertaken an interest in watercolors. She generally aims to reflect the impressive scenes of nature by purifying them from hard edges, and is focused on the fluidity of colors. She believes that the painter is not always in control, and the artist should learn when to be patient or fast by practicing the art itself. When: From March 16-26Where: ART 212
