Bram Stadhouders's 'Cantata' on Istanbul stage

Borusan Music House presents Bram Stadhounders's composition "Cantata" on March 9, a mystical story of an undiscovered music world with intimate and intense emotions. An amazing contemporary composition of mystery in six parts, "Cantata" is mesmerizing and explores an untouched musical world. After the success of improvisation trio Henosis ordered by North Sea Jazz Festival in 2012 for the Netherlands Chamber Choir, Bram Stadhouders began a new project. Afterward, he started to have a more intimate and intense touch in his music, and that is how "Cantata" was created. The three musicians on stage tell a mystical story by visiting the centuries when music and drama were a mystical duo. They give life to all the senses through music from the time of madrigals to the baroque era adapted to electronic music, from opera to trance. With his unique stability, Stadhouders directs this flow and presents a difficult and unique language. In the six- part "Cantata," Stadhouders, tenor Sebastian Brouwer and David Hoogerheide fearlessly go deep into emotion with this language of fantasy. Premiered in Bimhuis, one of the most prestigious music halls in Amsterdam, "Cantata" left a long-lasting effect from its intimacy. Where: Borusan Music HouseWhen: March 9 at 9 p.m.
