Afrofanga was formed in 2008 after taking "African and Latin Music Percussion" lessons at "Oktay Temiz Rhythm Workshop" and "Engin Gürkey Percussion Workshop." The band has performed throughout Turkey to perform mostly African-inspired music and rhythms with traditional African instruments along with Latin and European music with African percussion.
